International Conference of War Veteran Ministers
Membership Requirements
We welcome your membership in the International Conference of War Veteran Ministers, founded in 1989 as the National Conference of Viet Nam Veteran Ministers. We have three classes of membership -- one of them is right for you:
Individual membership is open to any person who served in a war and is either
- validly ordained by his or her respective faith community or
- currently providing religious services to his or her faith community on a full time basis.
War service must be documented. We have recently changed our By Laws to open our membership to all war veteran clergy as full individual members. For veterans of the Armed Services of the United States, individual membership requires the submission of a DD-214. Veterans of other wars are required to submit appropriate documentation of their service.
Ministry status is documented by submission of a copy of your certificate of ordination or its equivalent for those who are ordained, or a letter from your faith community describing the nature of your full time service and your affiliation / participation in a religious community for those who are not ordained.
Associate memberships are for war veterans who do not meet the above membership requirements but support the Goals and Objectivesof the organization.
For Associate membership, no ministry documentation is required, however documentation of war veteran status is required, as above.
Affiliate memberships are for non-clergy non-veterans who support the Goals and Objectives of the organization.
For affiliate membership, no documentation is required, however in order to know you better we ask that you complete the membership form.
Annual dues are $50 for each class of membership. Dues may be waived for incarcerated members and in case of need. We do need your financial support, but we don't want to miss your fellowship merely because of financial considerations!

To join immediately, print out the Membership form. Complete the form, attach a copy of the documentation need for the type of membership you seek, plus dues and mail to ICWVM, 101 Walker St., Apt B1, Newtonville, MA 02160-1552.
