National Conference of Viet Nam Veteran Ministers



Annual Convocation
October 11 - 15, 1999, Seattle, Washington

In 1999 the Annual Meeting was held in Federal Way, Washington, south of Seattle, at the Dumas Bay Conference Center. Planned events included:
  • business sessions which focused on project development and fundraising. Rev. Jackson Day, formerly NCVNVM Treasurer, was appointed Executive Director of the organization.

  • a special six session series on God and War in which six passages of Genesis were reviewed and discussions recorded on ways themes from Genesis resonate with veterans' experiences and issues today. Alan Cutter is working to develop the discussions into a publication.

  • a workshop conducted by Dr. Robert Grant, author of "The Way of the Wound -- A Spirituality of Trauma and Transformation."

  • An opportunity for participants to participate in a Spiritual Healing Workshop at the same location on the weekend, from Friday through Sunday.
