NCVNVM: Helping Veterans
Email Discussion Group for Chaplains of Veterans Organizations
As a service to veterans organizations who have chaplains at the chapter, state and national levels, NCVNVM has created an open, unmoderated email discussion group at egroups.com. We anticipate that chaplains of Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and other chapters will find this discussion group of value.
We hope that the egroup will be useful for sharing information about memorial services, what to do in the event of the death of a chapter member, useful roles that a chaplain can assume for the good of a chapter, and other topics of interest to those who have assumed these roles.
It is our experience that although many chaplains are clergy, a majority, especially at the local chapter level, are not. This makes a chance to exchange thoughts with other in similar circumstances all the more important.
